LEADING YOUTH IN GRADES 6-12 TO A
DEEPER, AUTHENTIC RELATIONSHIP
WITH CHRIST AND HIS CHURCH

Youth Ministry

"Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations..."

As a ministry of All Saints Catholic Church, the mission of the All Saints Youth Ministry is to lead the young people of our parish into a deeper, authentic relationship with Christ and His Church, and through them, to bring Christ more and more into the world at large.

The world today promises comfort and cheap joy. This ministry welcomes all young people who are seeking fulfillment, real joy, greatness, happiness, and friendship, and we will work to show you that Jesus Christ is the Happiness you are seeking. We have events, resources, and programs for teens from grades 6-12, and there is a place for everyone here. Leading our teens to Christ is the mission. Come along and join us for the adventure.

VIRTUE

What is 'virtue', and why should we care about it as Catholics?

"A virtue is a habitual and firm disposition to do the good. It allows the person not only to perform good acts, but to give the best of himself." -Catechism #1803

Both Scripture and the best of philosophy tell us of 7 primary virtues. There are more than these, but these are the most broad way to summarize them all. Four are apparent from reason and are called the "Cardinal Virtues". These are:

  • Prudence (or 'Wisdom')
  • Justice
  • Fortitude (or 'Courage')
  • Temperance (or 'Moderation')

Scrtipture and the Tradition of the Church give us three more which are called the "Theological Virtues". These are:

  • Faith
  • Hope
  • Love (or 'Charity')

Check out any of the links below for more information about the virtues, and how you can grow in them!

THE LITURGY OF THE HOURS

"THE CHOSEN"

"The Chosen" is, honestly, the greatest television-quality portrayal of the Gospel I have ever seen. It is not only actually good television, but it is a really impactful way to experience the Gospels and the life, ministry, and person of Jesus Christ. We cannot recommend this enough to anyone.

To watch the Chosen (for FREE!), create a free account at www.vidangel.com, and then search for The Chosen among their content. VidAngel, as well as "The Chosen" App, is also available through the Apple Store and Google Play store.
