First Reconciliation RCIA/RCIC

The Catholic Church warmly welcomes new members and tries to provide an appropriate spiritual formation according to each person's age and needs. Most Catholics are baptized as infants. Adults who have not been baptized will receive preparation in a one-year catechetical process called Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, that meets on Sundays. Having sufficient understanding, the preparation will lead to the full complement of the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist offered at the Easter Vigil.

Those adults already baptized in other Christian communities will enter into a one-year catechetical process called Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, that meets on Sundays to make a profession of faith into the Catholic Church and will receive the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation in the Rite of Reception into Full Communion with the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered in preparation for the Sacrament of the Eucharist.

Older Children (7-14) who are seeking Baptism are in a two-year catechetical process leading to the celebration of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
