Home and School Organization
The All Saints Catholic School HSA is a community of school parents who dedicate themselves to serving the school. This organization is led by an Executive Board. The HSA Executive Board is established through elections that take place in April of each school year.
The HSA has 3 general meetings during the school year in the Cafetorium. These meetings are for adults only. Childcare is provided for the meeting at no charge when you reserve the time with the After Care Coordinator. Consult the school calendar for dates of these meetings.
The HSA Executive Board consists of the President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary as well as:
Fundraising This position is responsible for all fundraising activities sponsored by HSA and is given a monetary goal at the beginning of the school year by the executive board.
Volunteer Coordinator This position solicits volunteers for school activities such as cafeteria help, Book Fair, Grandparent’s day, Block Party etc. All volunteers who interact with children must be Safe Environment cleared and the red security badge must be worn in the building or when students are present.
Outreach This position is responsible for contacting room parents when a death or illness affects a family. They also coordinate giving small gifts, cards, and visits to students and immediate family.
Room Parent Coordinator Under the direction and approval of the homeroom teachers, the room parents coordinate and plan treats/activities for class parties and distribute communications to the parents through email.
Hospitality This position coordinates all hospitality for HSA membership meetings, social events and school gatherings where appropriate.
Teacher Appreciation This position coordinates teacher appreciation activities throughout the school year such as luncheons and birthday recognition.
In addition to the HSA Executive Board, there are standing committees that are managed by volunteers and overseen by the Executive Board. Parents are encouraged to become involved in the HSA as a board or committee member.
School Advisory Council
The School Advisory Council is a voluntary, advisory body of school administrators, parents, and parishioners that advise on the operation of the educational programs at All Saints Catholic School. Applications are currently being taken for the 2017-18 school year. Click here to apply.
As a satellite of the Dallas Diocesan School Council, subject to its policies and regulations, the SAC meets monthly and may advise on all aspects of the formal educational programs of All Saints Catholic School (ASCS). A partial list of duties and functions include:
- Adherence to state goals and indicators for Catholic education in Texas
- Interpret and be accountable for adherence to the policies of the Diocese as enunciated in the school handbook
- Foster a strong faith community among themselves and share the same with the parish community
- Serve as the local committee in the planning and building of new educational facilities
- Assume fiscal management to the degree shared with them in formulating budgets and analyzing annual fiscal reports
- Evaluate the implementation of policies
School Finance Committee
The purpose of this Committee is to work with the Principal to objectively oversee and establish preliminary policies with respect to all financial matters of All Saints Catholic School. This Committee functions as an Ad Hoc Committee of the SAC and will report to, and operate under, the direction of the Pastor, Principal, and SAC.
The School Finance Committee assists the All Saints Parish Finance Council (“Parish Finance Council”) in fulfilling its obligations to the Parish by providing the recommended Annual Operating and Capital Budget reports and other periodic financial statements to the Parish Finance Council.
The authority of this Committee will encompass working with the Principal to perform the following functions:
Develop, with input from the Principal, an operating and capital budgeting process, including one, two, three, and four and five-year budget outlooks.
Develop, recommend and submit Annual Operating and Capital Budgets for submission to the SAC, Pastor, Principal, and Parish Finance Council.
Establish tuition and fees, payment terms, enrollment contract terms, tuition insurance requirements, contribution requirements to the Church and the Capital Campaign, and financial aid criteria for submission to the School Advisory Council and Pastor.
Define periodic and ad hoc financial reports relating to the School to be prepared by the Parish business office or the School business office. Determine the schedule on which these reports will be provided to and reviewed by this Council.
