Katie Allen

Seventh Grade HR / 6th-8th Grade Literature Teacher

My name is Katie Allen and I am thrilled to be teaching at All Saints for the second year. I have taught in a variety of roles since 2008 but have officially been in my own classroom since 2012. I have taught Reading Intervention for elementary through high school, ESL classes for adults for Grayson County via a non-profit organization known as the Grayson Literacy Team where I was the director for two years, high school Spanish (Pre-AP and AP), and my most recent job was teaching high school English (Pre-AP, AP and Intervention). I have a B.A. in English Education and a B.A. in Spanish Education from Oklahoma State University and my ESL certification. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my "church ladies" as I like to call them as we like going to movies, reading books, exploring nature, participating in all things Catholic, among many other activities. I look forward to this upcoming year as an Eagle as well as working with the amazing team of colleagues and students at All Saints.

I love the challenge of helping students to realize their full potential in every aspect of their lives and then watching them go out into the world to fulfill their God-given purpose. To be able to have a small part to play in their fulfillment is the most rewarding part of my job.
