ASCS Announces New Staff and Faculty

by All Saints on May 10, 2018

Dear Parents,

It has been a joy to visit with many of you over the past few weeks and hear your thoughts on our wonderful school.  We have been hard at work preparing for the 2018-19 school year.  To that end, I wanted to share with you some of the new faculty that will be joining our ASCS family.

Pre-school Program

We are delighted to welcome Mrs. Toni Jobes as the Early Childhood Director. Toni is one the foremost experts in early childhood learning in the Diocese of Dallas and served as the Co-Chairman of the Early Childhood Curriculum Committee. Toni holds her Bachelors in Education, with a minor in Early Childhood and her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.  Toni comes from St. Mark Catholic School where she transitioned the parish’s mother’s day out preschool program into a fully academic preschool.   Prior to her position at St. Mark’s, she contributed to the early childhood programs at Holy Trinity, The Highlands, Prince of Peace, and All Saints Little Saints as a classroom teacher. Toni is the mother of two high-school aged children and a Work of the Heart recipient. We know that our pre-school program will grow and flourish under Toni’s leadership and expertise.

Middle School Mathematics

Mrs. Kate See, our current Middle School Math teacher, will be leaving ASCS to teach Calculus at her alma mater, Bishop Lynch High School.  We are excited for her, but sorry to see her leave.  We wish her the best in her new position at Bishop Lynch.  Our students have grown so much under her tutelage.

We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Ann Mampilli to our Middle School. Ann holds her B.S. in Physics and Mathematics and M.S. in Physics.  She has been teaching Physics and Mathematics at Collin College for the past four years. Ann has also been a Math tutor at Karen Dillard for several years. Ann is the mother of two boys, a rising 7th grader and a rising 3rd grader, both of whom will be joining us at ASCS next year.  Ann is looking forward to teaching our middle school students and she will be in Mrs. See’s classroom observing during the month of May.

Mandarin Program

Please welcome Mrs. Jenny Nai as our Mandarin teacher. Jenny has been teaching PreK-7th grade Mandarin at the International Leadership School in Garland.  She holds her Bachelors and Masters in Chinese and her Ph.D. in Communications.  Jenny is the mother of a rising 2nd grader and a rising Kindergartener, both of whom will be attending ASCS next year.  Jenny is eager to work with Mrs. Mariella Bailey to develop our Language Program and teach the Chinese language and culture to our students. ASCS will be the first Catholic elementary school in the Diocese to offer Mandarin, a language of great importance in today’s global business community.

All PreK-5th graders will be taking both Mandarin and Spanish. In Middle School, students will elect Mandarin or Spanish and continue with that language for the duration of Middle School, thereby building proficiency in that language prior to their enrollment in high school.

We are so excited to have these talented individuals join our ASCS faculty.  In addition to their impressive qualifications, they are educators who will teach and nurture your children, helping them become the young men and women Christ intended them to be. They are eager to embrace and implement the vision and mission of our school. Please join me in welcoming them to our community.

Attached please find a profile of three of our graduates from the Class of 2014. Ben, Morgan, and Katie are students who exemplify excellence in faith, academics, character and service. For the remainder of the month, I will be sharing profiles of the Class of 2014.  We wish them the best in their future endeavors.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Yours in Christ,

Shana Druffner
