A voluntary,
advisory body of school administrators and parents that advise on the operation of the educational programs
at All Saints Catholic School.
Purpose
A satellite of the Dallas Diocesan School Council, subject to its
policies and regulations, the ASCS School Advisory Council (SAC), is responsible
for all aspects of the formal educational programs of All Saints Catholic
School (ASCS). A partial list of duties and functions include:

Adherence to
state goals and indicators for Catholic education in Texas
·
Interpret
and be accountable for adherence to the policies of the Diocese as enunciated
in the school handbook
·
Foster a
strong faith community among themselves and share the same with the parish
community
·
Serve as the
local committee in the planning and building of new educational facilities
·
Assume
fiscal management to the degree shared with them in formulating budgets and
analyzing annual fiscal reports
·
Evaluate the
implementation of policies
Council Composition
Members of the School Advisory
Council include:
1. Parish Pastor, as ex-officio member
of the Council
2. School Principal, as executive
officer of the Council, and an ex-officio member of the Council
3. Minimum of 7 and maximum of 10
members, elected by the Council, meeting the following conditions:
· At least 18 years of age, registered
in, and contributing to All Saints Parish
· Free of any financial commitments
through service, such as paid employees or those on a retainer fee for the
Diocese or the local level
· Free to serve without conflict of
interest or vested interest
· Unrelated by blood or marriage to
any other seated Council member
4. Each appointed member shall serve a
term of three years (fiscal year begins August 1), with no member serving more
than 2 consecutive terms
