 BAPTISM

Holy Baptism is the basis of whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.  Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as children of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission:  Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water and the Word.

Th following are requirements for Infant Baptisms at All Saints: 

Both parents and godparents must attend the Baptism Preparation Class.  A Baptism Preparation Class Certificate must be submitted when scheduling the baptism. Contact the Religious Education Office at 972-778-0328 to register for the Baptism Preparation Class.   See current Baptism Preparation Class schedule below.

Baptism must be scheduled at least two – three weeks in advance of the desired baptism date. Please call the Religious Education Office at 972-778.0328 to schedule.

Parents must  submit the following when scheduling baptism: 

  • the Parent Baptismal Registration Form / Family Information (click HERE to download) 
  • a copy of the child’s birth certificate
  • Baptism Preparation Class Certificate
  • Certificate of Good Standing
  • Consent from home parish

Godparents must submit the following when scheduling baptism:

  • the Godparent Baptismal Registration Form / Family Information (click HERE to download)
  • Baptism Preparation Class Certificate
  • Certificate of Good Standing

Unless noted otherwise, classes are held in the St. Theresa Room (Kamel Life Center), starting at 1:00 p.m.

There is a required Baptism Preparation Class registration fee in this parish of $20 from the Parents and $20 from the Godparents. This fee will cover expenses of utilities for the classroom and church, forms and certificates, clerical work, use of the classroom and church and equipment.

no baptism to be scheduled February 13, 2013 thru March 31, 2013 (Lent) without permission of the Pastor

Saturday, May 4, 2013 – 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, June 9, 2013 – 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, July 7, 2013 – 5:00 p.m.

Saturday, August 3, 2013 – 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, September 8, 2013 – 11:00 a.m.

Sunday, October 6, 2013 – 5:00pm

Saturday, November 9, 2013 – 5:00pm

Baptism will not be scheduled at other Masses without prior permssion of the pastor.

The "Presider" at these baptisms will be the presider of the Mass.

On the weekends when there is no baptism at Mass,  baptisms can be scheduled for Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
